About the Association of Women's Business Centers

AWBC is the the leading national voice and resource for igniting the economic power of women’s entrepreneurship. We advocate for, engage with, and support over 140 Women's Business Centers members across the United States.

What is a Women's Business Center?

Women’s Business Centers (WBCs) are local resource hubs that help entrepreneurs start, grow, and succeed. Funded in part by the U.S. Small Business Administration, WBCs offer free or low-cost training, one-on-one counseling, and access to funding resources. They also provide workshops, mentorship, and connections to a supportive business community, giving small business owners the tools they need to thrive.

(WBC services are not exclusive to women)

Women's Business Center Impact

WBCS CREATE AND SUSTAIN JOBS, GENERATING BILLIONS FOR THE ECONOMY

WBCs supported 340,000 jobs and $16
billion in wages.

WBCS HELP ENTREPRENEURS LAUNCH NEW BUSINESSES

For every taxpayer dollar invested, new
businesses generate $6 in revenue.

WBCS GROW ACCESS TO CAPITAL

For every taxpayer dollar invested, an
additional $7.50 in private capital is lent, spurring $15 in economic activity.
